apollo11To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon mission the Fort Collins Museum & Discovery Science Center are hosting an interactive exhibit called “To the Moon and Back”. The exhibit will feature items from many of NASA’s space programs, including an Apollo 7 flight helmet, photographs of astronauts and other space scientists, a space shuttle flight suit, space food, moon rock replicas and much more, the exhibit opens on July 25th and runs through August 29th.

If at all possible you’ll want to be there on opening day as it will be the only day that will feature a variety of special interactive, hands-on activities and programs, including live video broadcasts from Space Center Houston through the Discovery Science Center’s Virtual Space Community partnership, which by the way is another excellent resource for anyone wanting to learn more about space exploration.
