The 13th Annual Taste of Fort Collins will be June 13-14 at the Civic Center Park in Old Town.

The Taste of Fort Collins is an annual community celebration with family-friendly activities that are perfect for the entire family. All proceeds raised during the event go to benefit the Special Olympics of Larimer County and Kiwanis Club International.

The two-day festival offers great food from local Northern Colorado restaurants, entertainment from regionally and internationally acclaimed musicians and a display of fine artisans work as well as the region’s best crafters.

Some of the local restaurants that will be represented this year are Rasta Pasta, The Melting Pot, Carino’s Italian Grill, Albert Pit BBX Taj Mahal, Uncle’s Pizza, Eliot’s Mess, the Little Italian Kitchen and Cheba Hut, to name a few. Over 25 local eateries will be represented at this years festival.

If you thought last years music was great just wait ’til you listen to this years musical acts which include: Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, and local acts Single File, Roe, Motorhome, Kory Brunson Band, P-Nuckle, Jason Vigil and many more.

Parents won’t have to worry about the kids. Kidz Zone activities will run throughout the 2009 festival. You can always be sure that you and your children will have a good time at this family-friendly event!

Something new this year, the Taste of Fort Collins will hold a food drive benefiting the Food Bank of Larimer County, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday, June 12 at the Drake Professional Park, 2627 Redwing Road No. 360.
