Fort Collins Tops Another One

FortCollinsCollageDo you consider yourself an entrepreneur? Are you thinking of retiring soon? If so you may be interested to know that Fort Collins was chosen as one of 10 great places for entrepreneurs to retire.

This according to an report posted in the U.S. News and World Report on June 29, 2009. In the report U.S. News looked for communities with strong job growth, low unemployment , low business tax rates, reasonable home prices, an affordable cost of living, proximity to health care, and even enjoyable recreational opportunities. The report also noted another important resource that facilitates a small business launch is a nearby college.

Fort Collins with an overall healthy local economy compared to many U.S. cities at this time and the youthful energy and ideas flowing out of Colorado State University came in at #5.

Fort Collins finds itself in the top half of this list of 10 great places for entrepreneurs to retire.

The Rocky Mountain Innovation Initiative may have also played a part in Fort Collins ranking among the top 5.
