Fort Collins is at the top of Money Magazine’s list of “Best Places in the United States to Live” again this year.

If you’re like Kristina Brown from Northern Colorado Outdoors, you may think one of the main reasons for Fort Collins placing so well in lists like this is due to all the great outdoor activities available here year round.

That’s Too Cool, Fort Collins!

Money Magazine just came out with their latest “Best Places in the United States to Live” and Fort Collins was once again at the top of the list! With so many great things to do and fun places to do them, it’s hard to know where to get started.

Fort Collins is not ranked #1 on Money Magazine’s “Best Place to Live” list this year…Louisville, CO is. Fort Collins is not even in the top 100…

    Hi Kyle,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I must do a better job of verifying these stories.

I think what happened in this case was I must have been looking at the 2008 best places to live list and not the brand new 2009 list.

The 2009 list only considered towns with populations between 8,500 to 50,000 for placement onto the list. Fort Collins with a population of nearly 130,000 was not even in the running for 2009.

In 2008 Fort Collins did place 2nd.
